Australia’s Best Charities according to The Good Cause Co:
The following charities achieved the highest “Donate with Confidence” recommendations. They demonstrated that they are both trustworthy and effective, with every confidence that donations are used to deliver on their promised missions (in alphabetical order):

1. Australian Red Cross Society - working to save lives and support people, both before and after disasters strike, alleviating suffering during wars and conflict, promoting the laws of war and assisting vulnerable community members.
2. Beyond Blue - working to promote good mental health, creating change to protect everyone’s mental health and improving the lives of individuals, families and communities affected by depression, anxiety and suicide.
3. Bush Heritage Australia - “buys and manages land, and also partners with the Aboriginal community to conserve our magnificent landscapes and irreplaceable native species forever.”
4. Camp Quality - supporting kids aged 0-13 years old who are impacted by cancer, and their family, by providing essential support services. They offer education, family support, hospital support and recreation programs.
5. CARE Australia - working around the globe to save lives, defeat poverty and achieve social justice.
6. Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal (FRRR) – harnessing the power of collective investment between government, business and philanthropy to improve the lives of those living in rural, regional and remote Australia.
7. International Women’s Development Agency (IWDA) - a feminist charity that works to “progress the rights of women and girls.” They work with partners and as part of global coalitions to achieve a “vision of gender equality, for all.”
8. Mission Australia - a “national Christian charity helping Australians in need move towards independence”. They do this by delivering evidence-based services and advocating for those in need.
9. Peter Mac Cancer Foundation (“Peter Mac”) - undertaking cancer research, education and treatment. They have a public hospital in Melbourne solely dedicated to caring for people affected by cancer.
10. ReachOut - an “online mental health organisation for young people and their parents.” They provide practical support, tools and tips help young people get through anything from everyday issues to tough times.
11. Sacred Heart Mission - assisting people who are experiencing homelessness or living in poverty to find shelter, food, care and support. They offer services in St Kilda and surrounding areas in Melbourne’s inner south-east region and Women's accommodation in Reservoir and Thomastown.
12. The Fred Hollows Foundation - working to end avoidable blindness and to assist Indigenous Australians to exercise their right to good health. They undertake training, advocacy, education and treatment of patients and rebuild facilities in more than 25 countries around the world.
13. The Smith Family - creating opportunities for young Australians in need by providing long-term support for their participation in education.
14. The Surf Life Saving Foundation - working to “to save lives, create great Australians and build better communities".
